TXT to EPUB

Build a valid EPUB3 e-book from a plain-text file — Paste text or drop in a .txt file, optionally add a cover image and book metadata, then the page splits chapters automatically, writes clean XHTML5 chapters and packages everything into a standards-compliant .epub (mimetype first and stored, OPF + nav + NCX). Runs entirely in your browser.

OPF, nav and NCX — the three parts an EPUB needs

Wrapping plain text into an EPUB means building three structural files around your chapters. The OPF package document carries the metadata and the spine (the reading order). The nav document — an XHTML file required by EPUB 3 — is the modern table of contents; NCX is its EPUB 2 predecessor. Generated books include both so that older readers still show a TOC.

spine = the order chapters are read; nav = EPUB 3 TOC; NCX = EPUB 2 TOC, kept for compatibility. Chapter detection here is a heuristic — check the preview before downloading. To verify or tweak the finished book use the EPUB Viewer / Editor; to read it see the E-Book Reader.
