Audio Tempo & Pitch Changer

Change the Speed and Pitch of Any Audio Online — Load an audio file and choose what to adjust: change the tempo (speed) while keeping the original pitch, change the pitch in semitones while the speed changes accordingly, or change the pitch while keeping the total duration. Download the result as WAV (lossless) or MP3. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Supported input: MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, Opus, M4A, AAC, WMA, AIFF and other common audio formats. Files are never uploaded to a server.
First use loads an ~30MB audio processing engine into the current browser. It is cached and reused afterwards, so please be patient.

Speed only: the speed factor 1.5 makes audio 1.5x faster (duration becomes 2/3); 0.5 makes it half speed (duration doubles). Pitch stays unchanged.
Units & limits: speed factor is a multiplier (e.g. 1.5, 2, 0.5). Pitch shift is in semitones (12 semitones = one octave; +3 sounds three notes higher). The tempo filter supports 0.5x–2.0x per stage, so extreme speeds are applied in several stages automatically — this stays sample-accurate. Values outside the allowed ranges are rejected.
Tempo and pitch are two independent dials: tempo is speed (how fast the timeline plays), pitch is frequency (how high it sounds). "Speed only" stretches time while holding pitch constant; "Pitch shift" resamples — like changing tape speed, pitch and duration move together (+12 semitones is exactly one octave up and twice as fast); "Pitch shift (keep duration)" resamples and then stretches time back. Each semitone is a frequency factor of 21/12 ≈ 1.0595.
