Play or convert VCD ASX WVX HDV on to Zune / Xbox 360 HD
VCD means video Compact Disk which is a compressed image format. VCD is a full-motion, full-screen broadcast video standards developed jointly by electrical manufactures like SONY, Philip, JVC, etc. With its video compressed in MPEG-1 compression way and audio compressed in MPEG-1 layer 2 way, even the trained professionals cannot distinguish the original CD format from CD format after compressing in such way. VCD is widely used in Asia and owing to its features of free code and lower cost, it is sure that it will not be replaced by DVD in a short time.

Zune is the name of both services that obtain and share the media content and a brand of Portable Media Player developed by Microsoft like iPod of Apple Inc. 

Xbox is a video game console competing intensely with the Nintendo GameCube/Wii or Sony's PlayStation/(PS2/PS3).Microsoft has published versions Xenon, Xbox 2, Xbox FS, Xbox Next, or NextBox, XBOX 360 (HD resolution, high-definition).

To play vcd on Zune/Xbox, please convert it to wmv first on PC. If the VCD file is encoded with VCD1.0 format, it is not necessary to install any additional VCD decoder. If the vcd file is encoded with 1.1 or 2.0 format, please install DVD players such as WinDVD Player or PowerDVD Player, which include the appropriate vcd decoder. VISTA has bundled VCD1.1/2.0 decoder.

Download Zune Xbox Converter to convert VCD to Zune/Xbox. Please insert a VCD into the CD/DVD drive, browse the folder MPEGAV on the disk. There are some VCD files named  MUSIC01.DAT, MUSIC02.DAT or AVSEQ01.DAT, AVSEQ02.DAT etc in the folder. Then open a file in the program for vcd to wmv. Then use USB or networks to transfer the wmv file. Or burn the files to CD/DVD, play disks on Xbox easily.
