KAR is a kind of karaoke audio format
similar to MIDI format which belongs to module file. KAR has
existed for a long time as a way of recording sounds. The
format saves both the direction of how to play and sample
data of digital audio signal, thus the play back sound
quality relies little on audio hardware. So *.kar file could
obtain the basically similar sounds quality on other
devices.
