View and lightly edit Word (.docx) documents right in your browser — Drop in a DOCX file and it is rendered page-by-page with its original layout. Switch to Edit mode to change text directly (bold and italic are preserved), then export the result back to a fresh DOCX. Everything runs locally — no upload, no server, no cloud.

DOCX — the package behind every modern Word file
A .docx file is a ZIP archive of XML parts (Office Open XML, the same standard used by .xlsx and .pptx): one part holds the body text, others hold styles, numbering definitions and embedded images. That structure is why this page can open, render and re-save documents entirely in your browser. The legacy .doc format is a binary format from 1997 and is not supported here.
.docx = ZIP + XML (Office Open XML, default since Word 2007); .doc = binary (1997). For server-side conversion of .doc and other formats use the Word Converter; to export pages as images use Word to Image.
