SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a
widely-used XML-based file format for
describing two-dimensional vector
graphics. SVG files are essentially text
files that contain instructions for
rendering graphics such as shapes,
lines, curves, and text. Unlike raster
image formats like JPEG or PNG, which
store images as a grid of pixels, SVG
stores images as a series of
mathematical descriptions of shapes and
paths.
MVG (Magick Vector Graphics) file format
is associated with the ImageMagick
software, a powerful suite of tools for
editing and manipulating images. MVG
files are text-based files that contain
a description of vector graphics
commands. These commands describe the
shapes, paths, colors, and other
attributes of the vector graphic being
represented.
