Password Generator

Two ways to create secure credentials. Strong password mode builds a random string from your chosen character sets — every pick uses the browser’s cryptographic random source. Memorable passphrase mode (the XKCD style) joins several common words into a phrase that is easy to type and remember but hard to guess. Both run entirely in your browser. Also see the UUID / GUID Generator for machine identifiers.

Why this is strong:
A password’s resistance is measured in entropy bits. Every bit doubles the guesses an attacker must try, so 70+ bits defeats offline attacks and 100+ is comfortable for master passwords. The character picker here always uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling — never the predictable Math.random — and the look-alike filter removes characters that are easy to confuse (0 O, 1 l I). For the passphrase, entropy comes from word count: five words from a ~400-word list already beats ten random characters, and it’s something a human can actually type.
