INI / ENV Compare

Compare two INI or ENV configuration files and find all differences. See exactly what was added, removed, or changed — with full config paths. Also: JSON Compare | YAML Compare | XML Compare.
All processing happens locally in your browser — your data is never uploaded to any server.
Format:
Enter two config files above and click Compare to see the differences.
How to use: Paste your original config file in the left textarea (Config A) and the modified version in the right textarea (Config B). Select the format (INI or ENV) and click Compare to see all differences.
Result colors: Green = added in B, Red = removed from A, Yellow = value changed.
INI format: Supports sections [section], key-value pairs key=value, and comments (; or #). Keys without a section are placed under [global].
ENV format: Supports flat key-value pairs KEY=VALUE and comments (#). Values may be quoted. Empty lines are ignored.
Tip: Values are compared as strings. Whitespace around keys and values is trimmed during parsing.
INI vs .env — sections vs flat keys

INI files group keys under [section] headers with key=value pairs; keys before any section land in a global scope. .env files are flat KEY=VALUE lines with no sections — the 12-factor convention for environment configuration. Because values compare as strings, 1.0 and 1.00 differ even though they parse to the same number.

Quoting rules differ between loaders — prefer the convention your runtime documents.
