Export PDF to other formats online free — convert PDF to DXF (CAD drawing), extract text as structured XML, or export as SVG vector graphics. Also: PDF Editor | Security | Compress | OCR | Utilities.
PDF to DXF: Parses PDF vector graphics and converts basic shapes (lines, rectangles, text) into DXF entities. Cubic Bezier curves are approximated as line segments. Complex fills, gradients, and raster images are not supported in this browser-based converter. Best suited for simple 2D CAD drawings exported from PDF.
PDF to XML: Extracts text content and coordinates from each PDF page. Output includes text strings, X/Y positions, font names, and font sizes. Text is clustered by Y-position into lines. This provides a basic structured XML representation — for academic paper parsing (TEI XML) or deep structure extraction, consider server-side tools like GROBID.
PDF to SVG: Extracts text elements with their coordinates from each PDF page and builds an SVG document with positioned text elements. This produces text-level SVG output where text remains selectable and searchable. Vector graphics (paths, shapes) are not included in this browser-based version — for full vector SVG export including all graphics, a server-side tool like mutool is recommended.
Why extraction is not always perfect: a PDF stores text as positioned drawing instructions, not as paragraphs — the exporter rebuilds reading order by clustering text by position, so multi-column layouts, tables and unusual spacing can come out in a different order than you would read them. If the source is a scan with no real text, use OCR first.
