Math Converter

Convert between mathematical formats including number bases, angle units, coordinate systems, scientific notation, and Roman numerals.
All processing happens locally in your browser — your data is never uploaded to any server.
Number Base: Convert between binary (2), octal (8), decimal (10), hexadecimal (16), and custom bases (2-36). Digits above 9 use letters A-Z.
Angle: Degrees (°), radians (rad), gradians (grad), turns, minutes of arc (′), and seconds of arc (″).
Coordinate: Convert between Cartesian (x, y) and Polar (r, θ) coordinates. Output angle in degrees.
Roman Numerals: Convert between decimal (1-3999) and Roman numerals. Scientific Notation: Convert between standard decimal and a × 10b format.
Conversion chains and significant figures

Every conversion here is a chain of exact or defined ratios — number bases and Roman numerals are pure notation (a value is rewritten, unchanged), while angle units multiply by fixed factors (1 turn = 2π rad = 360°). A result can never carry more precision than its input: 3.28084 ft in a mile-to-feet style conversion is a measured, rounded factor, so the extra digits are not extra accuracy.

Number-base conversion is exact (11110000&sub2; is precisely 240&u2081;&sub0;), but a decimal fraction like 0.1 has no finite binary form — its base-2 expansion repeats forever, the same floating-point fact that makes 0.1 + 0.2 come out slightly over 0.3.
