DivX is a new digital video compression technology derived from MPEG4V3 encoding technology of Microsoft developed by DivXNetworks Cop.. DivX is formed by combining the compressed audio with MP3 technology and compressed video with MPEG-4 technology. *.DivX or *.DIV adopts MPEG-4 compression algorithm, and it maintains the original image quality of DVD and may could compress a 120-minute-long film to about 300MB video stream. Based on MPEG-4 standard, DivX could even compress the VHS format video files to 1% of the original file size. To synchronize/sync
divx, please install
the DivX decoder and audio decoder for the divx extension.
Normally the audio stream of DIVX is encoded by MP3. In Windows it is not needed to install extra mp3 decoder.
Download
Audio Video Synchronizer which can synchronize/sync audio/video of
divx/div file. Click the Options button, select Output Format with WMV
or AVI.
It seems DivXNetworks does
not publish the DivX Muxer. If DivX Muxer is released in the
future, you may get DivX format possibly.
H.261 is the first practical digital video coding standard designed by ITU-T to develop conference TV and video telephony on ISDN. It becomes the design framework of later International Standard of Video Coding including MPEG-1, MPEG-2/H.262 and H.263. H.261. It only deals with CIF and QCIF image formats by dividing every frame into images layer, Acer block group layer, Acer block and block layer. H.261 output rate is constant, while the image quality is unsteady.
H.263 is the standard draft of ITU-T designed for low bit-stream communications. Actually the standard could be used in broader bitstream scope but not limit to low bit-stream. What’s more, it’s thought to be used to replace H.261.The coding algorithm of H.263 is the same with that of H.261.but there’re still some differences. e.g. H.263 adopts semi-precision for motion compensation while H.261 adopts all pixel accuracy and filtering cycle; H.263 contains four consultable options to improve performance. |
